About us

Caledonian Road Methodist church, known as ‘Cally’ to members and friends past and present, has a Grade II listed building standing at the corner of Caledonian Road and Market Road.

A warm and friendly welcome awaits all who come to Cally – cups of tea, coffee or a cold drink are available after both morning and evening services.

Harvest Festival

A Harvest Festival Service

Our congregation often includes folk from all over the world and those from the West Indies, Ghana and Zambia as well as the UK.

In addition to the services on Sundays, a fellowship meets on Wednesdays at 8pm at which the programme may be a Bible Study, quiz, musical evening or book review, with occasional off site visits to a park or now and again the theatre. And there’s always time to share news, concerns and plans and to involve as many as possible in all activities.

Young people are catered for both at the Sunday morning services and at ‘Campaigners’, which meets on Wednesdays and includes games, crafts, skills-learning and a Bible-based time of quiet and reflection.
