It is with deep regret that we announce that, due to the current health situation and taking into account the advice given by the government, and that of the London District of the Methodist Church, we have decided to close the church with immediate effect.There will no services from Sunday 22 March and all activities and hall bookings are cancelled until further
We have taken this decision to protect our members, those who use our premises and the wider community.
We remember that God remains the eternal creator and is never put on hold, or suspended by human frailty until further notice. God is not diminished by the actions we are having to take, but always within our response to struggle and suffering. In Jesus Christ we have a resurrection presence who is the hope and light of the world. The difference now is that we will not be meeting in gathered ways for encountering the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. Not now the joining of voices, but certainly we will remain a joining of hearts. We are about to become church in a different way - physically dispersed and separated by circumstance, but always spiritually united in Christ. Stay safe and well.
